Three hundred thousand copies of my historical books have been read around the world in 13 languages in 15 countries teaching millions of people the truth about the treatment of Germans by the victorious powers since 1945. And the books have paid off enormously: in conjunction with Herr Max Klaar, a former Lieutenant Colonel of the Bundeswehr (German army) and Merrit Drucker, (Major, US Army retired) I organized a book launch in Washington in October, 2011, to celebrate the new US edition of Other Losses. At the launch Drucker presented to Klaar a letter of apology for the atrocities against German prisoners by the US army and Klaar was then invited to present his own 14-point proposal for a peace treaty.

My need is urgent because my goal is great. My books, never preaching hatred or revenge, have demonstrated to the world the criminality of the aftermath of World War Two and that war-responsibility lies among all participants, not just among Germans.

The royalties from my books have paid less than 20% of the costs I incurred to write them.
